Steve started playing guitar at the age of 5 - first studying with big band guitarist Frank Aeillo until the age of 13.
His first performance was singing and playing "Home on the Range" for his 2nd grade class!
In the 80's early 90's he was playing original rock music at well known Jersey Shore and Central Jersey venues, including the Stone Pony and Court Tavern.
In 1990 Steve began 10 years of studying jazz and music theory with John Miele - a fabulous teacher out of East Brunswick NJ.
Since the mid 1990s Steve’s has been available for solo gigs at cafes, restaurants, and weddings, and duo and ensemble work for club dates, concerts and private functions.
Steve performs at clubs, weddings, jazz fests, St. Patrick’s Day Concerts, galleries, private functions, and museums and can be seen with the Big Apple Pops Orchestra playing swing, big band, jazz, and classical music.
Steve has filled the guitar chair in the orchestra for shows including Grease, Crazy For You, Joseph and the Technicolor..., The Pajama Game, and Bye Bye Birdie.
Steve tours with a national production of Smokey Joe's Cafe.
In 2010 Steve accompanied Zimbabwean jazz phenomenon Prudence Mabhena in a rare performance. Prudence is the subject of the Oscar-winning short documentary “Music By Prudence.”

Steve plays a custom made William E. Moll Small Jumbo Guitar, a Dana Borgeois Country Boy Dreadnought, a custom Mark Campellone Archtop, a Hirade Classical Guitar, and a Fender Telecaster.
